Rupees 25 lakh donated to Chief Minister's Relief Fund for CORONA DISTRESSED

Bhubaneswar, April 6: DAV Group of Institutions have always come forward to extend their helping hands at the hour of crisis as a part of social responsibility. Be it the Super Cyclone or Earthquakes or any other calamity, they have unabatedly contributed to the cause.
At this moment when the entire world is gripped with the Corona Virus (COVID-19) pandemic, Hon’ble President DAV College Managing Committee New Delhi, Padmashri Dr. Punam Suri has donated 5 Crore to the Prime Minister Relief Fund. In the recent past our President has also contributed 2 Crore to our Chief Minister's Relief Fund (CMRF) for the victims of the very severe cyclonic storm FANI.
At this juncture when the entire Government machinery is functioning round the clock to restrict the reach to its third stage especially the Doctors and Police Department, the staff of around 32 DAV Schools of Odisha Zone have also contributed two days salary towards the Prime Minister and CMRF.
For this a cheque of Rs. 25 lakh is donated to the Chiief Minister ‘s Relief Fund by Dr. K C Satapathy, Regional Officer, DAV Institutions (Odisha Zone-I) as a small step towards the fight against the Corona pandemic.
We also acknowledged the sincere efforts of the government and assure that DAV will come forward to extend all possible help to the Government if desired. We also appeal to our alumni across the county to extend all possible help they can.
